Our Nursery

Langley Gorse Day Nursery occupies a wonderful Georgian mansion, which has big sash windows that keep all the rooms bathed in natural light. It has been furnished and finished sympathetically to the Georgian period, in keeping with its history, yet we’ve filled it with natural resources that are at the forefront of modern childcare. The older children are based downstairs and the younger children upstairs, in spacious, exciting and comfortable age-specific rooms.

Extensive outdoor grounds for playing and exploring

The nursery in Sutton Coldfield has an outstanding three acres of its own grounds, which comprise of expansive grassed spaces with climbing equipment as well as areas for digging play, planting and growing, sand play and construction play. There is also a separate courtyard with various areas for exploratory play.

As would be expected in a three-acre rural location we have a big, dedicated on-site car park which makes dropping off and collecting a seamless process.

A passionate team of professional childcare experts

Our staff team are passionate, dedicated people who work together to create a rich, happy and fulfilling childcare experience for every child in their care. A cornerstone of our approach is that every child is cherished for the individual that they are. They are truly known by their ‘key carer’ and the other childcare practitioners in their room.

Everything that happens in the nursery day is based on The Curiosity Approach. This considers the natural world the greatest resource and educator of all and encourages children to engage with everything around them.

OFSTED have rated our day nursery in Sutton Coldfield as “Good”.
