Langley Gorse Day Nursery in Sutton Coldfield occupies a beautiful Victorian mansion house, and can be found in a stunningly beautiful rural location on Fox Hollies Road on the outskirts of Sutton Coldfield. Our Sutton Coldfield nursery provides mesmerising views of the surrounding countryside and changing seasons from the large windows inside which induce a sense of awe and calm in staff, children and visitors alike. It also provides us with three acres of grounds for exciting outdoor play and exploration.

The nature of the building, with its bright and airy rooms, gives our children plenty of space to explore, play and learn. The nursery has a warm and welcoming feeling which we love, and are very proud of. Our Sutton Coldfield nursery has recently been totally refurbished and re-equipped, and is a beautiful space for our children to enjoy. We’ve developed separate rooms for our babies (3 months to 12 months), our toddlers (12 months to 24 months), our 2 - 3 years olds, and our pre-school children(3 - 5 years), enabling us to resource each room appropriately for the age group, and where they are cared for, nurtured and encouraged to explore and investigate.

If you visit our day nursery in Sutton Coldfield, you’ll see that our grounds are surrounded by a small woodland area, and include separate grassed and well equipped outdoor play areas for the younger and older children, and a large secure grassed meadow - enabling us to provide exceptional outdoor play opportunities and learning experiences. During the spring and summer months we love to take the children to explore wildlife on our ‘discovery walks’ through our meadow, and we develop their curiosity and love of nature in our ‘woodland nature trail’.

We provide digging and planting areas in our ‘Veggie Patch’ which we use to teach the children about growing and about food, and have ‘sand play’ areas and a ‘mud kitchen’ in which children can dig, build and experiment with sand, mud and water as they discover what can be done with these different materials.

Whilst you wouldn’t expect to find a day nursery in Sutton Coldfield with such extensive outdoor facilities, we also make the best of our indoor facilities too. Our baby and toddler rooms are equipped with resources such as treasure baskets, sensory equipment, and our toddler ‘play gym’ - carefully designed to promote your child’s development. And our rooms for older children are packed with resources designed to offer children as much choice as possible and capitalise on their individual areas of interest - and IT facilities that allow children to begin their learning in his area.

We are committed to remaining the best day nursery in Sutton Coldfield, and to providing outstanding childcare and early learning opportunities for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age, and our nursery facilities and environment form an important part of that.

We believe excellent childcare and education depends on:

  • Providing rich enabling environments, and stimulating activities
  • Having knowledgeable enthusiastic staff to support children’s learning and development
  • Working in partnership with the parents and families of the children in our care
  • Training, valuing and rewarding our staff for the crucial role they play in supporting children’s learning and development
  • Children and adults having fun!

We hope you do too – and that you’ll pop in and see us at Langley Gorse Day Nursery in Sutton Coldfield.
